Emo and post-hardcore didn’t die; it grew up and put on it’s finest black clothes, ready to question the reality of the society we live in. Who better to tell that story than Havelocke?

Havelocke about Arsonist EP “Arsonist EP is us showing the world what we’re capable of, there’s a fire in our heart and we’re putting it on display for everyone to see. There’s so many elements to this record, it’s really pushing our sound to the extremes in every direction, it goes harder than anything we’ve done before, it’s catchier than anything we’ve done before, it’s more beautiful than anything we’ve ever done before. There has been so much time and effort put into everything in this record, whether that’s working out how to record our own demos, spending hours programming drums, trawling through mud with fire bins and gear for a video or driving around Sheffield for photo shoot locations. We have put everything into making this EP and everything around it amazing. We’re tired, we’re poor, this is pretty much make or break for us. “
