Mimi Barks – RAD Out Now
MIMI’S new offering sets the mark for a compelling movement within the genre, making her an unstoppable creative force. Not being afraid to put her life on the line for the single she integrates ear shattering electronic beats, slashing guitars, distorted basslines with clever lyricism.
“I live in a warehouse, shared with ten other people, called Unit RAD. It’s a filth pit and antithetical to the lyrics in my song. The riches of the mind rather than the riches of money itself. Money means nothing if your soul’s hurting and you’re not in control of your mind. So, we’re living lavish, coz we’re being present. You know your own self-worth before the world does.”, shouts MIMI BARKS.
The former Berliner now-relocated-to-London continues to carve her own path. The release of RAD follows her recent awakening single ‘SUICIDE’ which featured on Spotify editorial playlists The oTHERS and misfits 2.0. Having been championed by the likes of ASBO Magazine, Kerrang!, Octane and many more MIMI BARKS has become an artist of NOW: baring digital teeth across multiple platforms with a vibrancy that can only come out of these turbulent times.
