Hell’s Ditch – Smoke Screen

Hell’s Ditch’s new single “Smoke Screen” captures the essence of punk rock rebellion with a message of resilience. Tackling themes of societal indifference and inner turmoil, the lyrics “No smoke without fire as we move from the shadows” inspire strength in adversity.

Hailing from the North West and Midlands, Hell’s Ditch is a British punk rock band with a mission to ignite a new wave of hopeful rebellion. Their music addresses serious themes like class struggles, urban poverty, alienation, and resistance, but does so with a positive spin, leaving listeners feeling energised and empowered.

Gaining recognition from critics and tastemakers at BBC Radio 1’s The Rock Show, Kerrang! magazine, and Radio X along the way, they have been named by Punktastic as “one of the UK’s most exciting up-and-coming bands.

Their latest EP, “Take Cover,” released on Silent Cult Records, and it’s lead single ‘Take The Night Off’ reflects on the need for fair compensation and a better quality of life amidst the UK’s rising cost of living and growing wealth gap. Vocalist Nick Davis puts it best: “People deserve more than just the bare minimum – we deserve dignity and a good quality of life. ‘Take The Night Off’ is about the need to live beyond the daily grind. Bread and roses, if you will.”
