Our favourite punk-rockers Miss Vincent might be the spookiest band to bump into, and this year their Halloween celebrations included the release of the cover ‘In The Still Of The Night‘.
Miss Vincent’s lead singer and front man Alex Marshall says about the track:
“Punk rock bands and 50s cover songs have been a killer combo forever: The Ramones with ‘Do You Wanna Dance’, Blondie with ‘I’m Gonna Love You Too’, The Misfits even did a whole record of them on Project 1950.
Our debut album was drenched in 50s influences, so we wanted to pay a direct tribute to one of the songs that inspired us. ‘In The Still Of The Night’ is a quintessential 50s number, and it fits our sound perfectly. The chords, the vocal harmonies, it felt so natural for us to play that we had to record it. And it wouldn’t be a Halloween release without some classic horror iconography for the video.
Happy Halloween, punks!”
