State Of You began their infiltration of the UK underground in 2022, releasing their debut EP, cultivating their own brand of heavy music, splicing hardcore styling with vibrant rock ‘n roll.

Back on the attack in 2024 with a collection of visceral new songs on their second EP, ‘On A Knife’s Edge‘, the band continue to expel personal demons and provoke discussion around issues in the world today. Delving into the pressures of modern day life (‘Cut The Rope’), saying goodbye to “rockstar” tropes (‘To The Core’), striving for society-pressured perfection (‘Double-Barrelled’) and a fluid relationship with alcohol (‘Which Way The Water Flows’) see vocalist Steve Sitkowski utilise a more melodic vocal whilst still retaining his abrasive exclamations.

The band found a kindred audio spirit in Oz Craggs, of UK underground heroes Feed The Rhino, who has worked on production duties from the EP through to their new material, including their anti anthem for the ages ‘The New Depression’.
